Jerusalem in the Middle Ages
The Old City Gate
Jerusalem is one of the most famous religious cities in the entire world. Jews, Muslims, and Christians all feel that the city is special and holy, which is why it was constantly being captured by different religious and ethnic groups during the Middle Ages. People from all kinds of backgrounds from all over the world flock to see Jerusalem's many ancient sites that have lasted through countless disasters. The magnetic pull they feel towards Jerusalem is understandable; they want to stand where Muhammad, Abraham, or Jesus once stood.
